The volunteers are taking the long weekend off. It's been a long and very hot summer, and everyone has earned a little fun and family time.

Welcome to the Humane League of Lake Lanier website. We specialize
in finding permanent homes for adoptable pets in Metro-Atlanta area,
Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Lumpkin and other North Georgia counties and
providing education and support for pet owners. We rescue dogs, cats,
and the occasional chicken or duck, that deserve a second chance at life.
Georgia Dog Rescue
If you are looking for a purebred Collie, Doberman Pinscher, Chihuahua, or
just a good old fashioned mixed breed dog, you can find it in pet rescue. The dogs, puppies, kittens and cats
in our shelter are diverse, and we enroll new rescue dogs into our program almost
every day. Humane League of Lake Lanier, Inc. is a Virtual Animal Shelter,
and all of our pets are housed in volunteer foster homes, mostly in the Forsyth County area.
